Hello

Harley came into my life after a cross-country move, during a season when nothing seemed to go as planned. I was facing one trial after another, and Harley seemed to sense my stress before I even fully understood it myself.

Without any formal training, Harley would offer pressure therapy, stay close, or do whatever he could to bring my focus back to him. Not long after, I was diagnosed with PTSD, and I realized just how powerful the bond with a dog could be.

Harley was not perfect. He had his quirks, but the comfort, loyalty, and stability he gave me changed my life on a mental, emotional, and personal level. That experience planted a purpose in me. If there was a way to help others experience that kind of loyalty and companionship, I knew I wanted to be part of it.

That is what led me to search for a dog related to Harley, with similar qualities. Eventually, we found Suki. Three years later, we brought her home to begin the foundation of Harley’s legacy. Now, years later, that legacy continues through Pikes Peak German Shepherds.

I believe God gave us the responsibility to care for animals, and even today, that relationship can bring some of the greatest comfort. My hope is to help place the right dog with the right family, so each dog has the best chance to become exactly what that home needs.
